Images in SWF safe from theft?

from what I can see it is impossible for surfers to save an image in an swf movie...is this truly the case? when you right click all you get is the flash menu...

I feature some photography on my site which I want to protect as much as possible and it seems that putting the images into a swf is the best way....

    what do you think?

They can always just press "print screen" on the keyboard and grab the image

If your photo's are so valuable, I would suggest watermarking them and/or making them low quality

watermark it, or don't upload it

It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me.

there is ways to extract what's in a swf too. So in short, no it's not full proof. watermark it.

I am a photographer... I can't not upload my images... or put them up in poor quality...I don't care if they can print the imges... kudos to them if they want to tape a small (print vs. web) version of my work on their wall....

my concern is finding my work on another site... so I ask again is there a way to right click and save a picture that is in a swf movie?

    thanx

Well then if you don't care that they have the small version of it, why are you asking about them pulling a bigger version out of flash if you're not gonna upload the image to a webserver?

no, print screen does not print the images to a printer, it copys the image to the windows clipboard (just like doing copy-paste). So they can just paste your photo into photoshop and do what they like with it And as pointed out above it is possible to "extract" stuff like that from flash movies.

There's no way to do it So if the images are going to be a major worry, watermark them

there are plenty of tools out there to extract images, code and more from flash movies even if they are compiled with 'Save from Import' so lets just say that if you post it then anyone can capture it.
