Talk Getting Started in the Industry with the Experts
Next up in our Talk with the Experts series of free chat sessions, we're talking all about getting started in the industry with SitePoint lead dev Jude Aakjaer, and Ben Axnick, who came to us through our grad intern program.
The session will take place at 2pm PDT on Wed 1 May (or you can find out what time it will be at your place here).
The guys will be on hand to answer any questions you have - about subject choices, what employers are looking for, getting your name out there, taking that first step... whatever. You ask it and they'll answer it.
The best news is that we'll finally be getting rid of the buggy interfaces that we've been using to date and will be using the session to launch our custom interface, which will run through learnable.com
I'll post more details and a link closer to the time.UX Mastery - A community exclusively for UXers

I hope I can be there. It's a bit late, and it's a holiday here, but the subject is very interesting.

Honestly Speaking, I don't have any idea on how to get started in the Industry with the experts. I am also thinking to ask like mentioned above such as "What about subject choices, what employers are looking for". I need also some clarification with regards to this matter.
I'm hoping to learn more from this forum.Thank you!

This site rocks! I just joined today and have a strong interest in niche sites, seo backlinking and recently learning html and php. To be able to come to one place and get info on all of these topics is amazing! thanks everyone.

It is one of the most exciting things about working on the global environment at present. I am enjoying the professional learning communities I am a member of and all the experts have to impart. They are more accessible now than ever. Even if you are just following a mentor; you could stand to learn a great deal by "listening" to the conversation and "reflecting" how that fits into your worldview. It is interesting how the leaders are also allowing themselves to learn from the newbies...it's all about perspective. And, respect. In my humble opinion:-)
