Anyone else having trouble with mail() function in PHP 4.3?

I posted this question in the general PHP Programming forum, but I think it's more related to this forum.

A few days ago, the mail() function stopped sending email accounts on outside domains. It WILL send to email accounts on my domain, but nowhere else.

I was thinking this was related to my webhost upgrading to PHP 4.3 (about the same time as mail() problems) but now I'm wondering if it's more 'sendmail' related.

    Any ideas?

    thank you-
    David

It sounds like sendmail (or whatever MTA you use) has been recently configured this way. Would you like me to move this to the server config forum?

Sure, it sounds like that would be a better place for this topic.
    thanks.

i think it's a sendmail problem. Something to do with relaying emails. Did you modify your mail server in any way?

i have 4.3.0 and i use the mail() function; no problems so far.

    Solved!

Turns out it was my webhost's error. He mistakenly left the "nobody" user disabled after working on other email issues.

    thanks for the replies.
