    Some quick help! please!

i have got apache up and running and mysql is working fine. i am a total newbie and am really exicted to get going further but i cant get php to work on my machine. i am following along with kevin yanks book and I am at the part where i am supposed to add these lines to the httpd.conf file.

    LoadModule php4_module C:/php/php-4.3.1-Win32/sapi/php4apache.dll
    AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .php3 .phtml
    AddType application/x-httpd-php-source .phps

when i do that, apache wont start. if i take these lines out, apache will start. anyone?????

if it helps the error message reads

cannot load c:/php/php-4.3.1-Win32/sapi/php4apache.dll into server: (31) A device attached to the system is not functioning:

any help would be great. i am really excited to get going coding some php but i cant!!!!! i posted this elsewhere today but it got moved. i thought id try here cause i really want to get started.

Good tutorial, but I have a question. He wrote

    07. In C:\Network\Php folder, find php4ts.dll file. Move it to the %SYSTEMROOT%\system32 folder. NOTE: Make sure you MOVE that file, DO NOT copy it only.

Why do you have to make sure you MOVE it? If there's two copies, what's the harm? I'm not just trying to be nit-picky, I really do want to know if there's a bad result.
