    Newly switching

    Ok, I've been in the process of switching from tables to a tableless layout on my site http://www.dougerkkila.com and there are a few main things I'm having problems with:

    1) The navigation bar at the left side moves whenever I highlight an option (please note none of the links work quite yet).

    2) Also the colour doesn't extend all the way down the navigation bar, only while there is text.

    Any help with these will be greatly appreciated. The site is still quite young and am still working on colour schemes and other, but these two problems have been bothering me like mad. I would also like to inquire about how there look to everyone, ideas? Problems you see that I don't?

    Thanks,

    Doug

    Actually the height is already set to 100%. Here is the CSS code for that side bar
    Code:
    {
     FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 100%; WIDTH: 20%; PADDING-TOP: 10px; POSITION: relative; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #FAF3E7; BORDER-LEFT: #000000 1px solid;
    }

    This may help, add

    display: block;

    to your div, although I think IE 5 / 5.5 windows does not see this correctly, worth a go though!
