    Director:two videos on stage simultaneously

Sorry, didn´t know in wich forum to put this question.

    I´m new at Macromedia´s Director.

I´m want to put two avi videos (one big/longer and one small/shorter) playing on a stage. The small one would show from time to time over the big one.

How can I sincronize it to show the small one at the right point I want of the big video? If could see all the frames of each video it would be ok, but director doesn´t show me all frames of a video unless, as far as I know, I expand the sprite by hand. Is there a better/right way to do this? Also, I read about "movie in a window (MIAW)" - is the way to do this?

    Thanks.

    Hmmmm ... I wonder ...

Do you have access to Flash MX?

I ask because you can bring video in to Flash MX as a frame by frame movie, save it as a flash file (as opposed to AVI), then bring it into Director and control it as a Flash cast memeber.

Oh drat ... what version on Director do you have though?

I'll run a test and get back to you.

    Keep smiling ...
It makes people wonder what you're up to ...

For Video in Flash MX (Not Frame by frame) see:
    http://www.macromedia.com/devnet/mx/...hmx_video.html

    For Director, this might help:

If not, Macromedia help files tend to be quite good, so remember to check them out
