Question How do I do this?

    Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has seen any tutorials for Flash MX on how to achieve the effect on: http://www.altecmm.com/prod_pcmusic_flash.asp , the part where the boxes are moving horizontally with those images inside.

    Thanks

Sorry - but haven't seen any tutorials, but could probably be done quite easily with "swish"

I'm curious though - outside of it looking like a cool effect...why would anyone even want that on their webpage? Being cool for the sake of being cool isn't too smart in my opinion - that effect is just taking up space on a page that could be used to better sell their products and make some $$$!

    Cheers,

    Steve

I found an effect on www.Flashkit.com and created one similar at www.ric-o-chet.net

You can add images in on different layers with different transparencies for it as well.

yeah, I think downloading files from www.flashkit.com , and learning from them is one of the easiest ways to figure out something new in flash.

Just a simple layer mask. Put the mask over the pictures and move the pictures as you choose.

I think the best way is to actually learn the program than to get tidbits here and there. Try Macromedia Flash MX : Advanced Actionscript. Great book; good tutorials and very comprehensive
