Moving hosting from dedicated to cloud - thoughts?

    Greetings!

Several years ago we moved from hosting our client's sites from reseller account to our own dedicated server. That was a great strategic move on our part at that time. Now we are thinking of moving from dedicated server to Amazon Web Services for all of our clients. Has any other web companies done this and if so, what was your experience? Good, bad, so so?

    Thanks!

So many companies are available before suggesting that name I would like to ask a question regarding preference for server location ?most of the clients prefer Europe or Asia based server due to there quick response ?Do you shift your data in that location?

Migration to cloud isn't always a good thing. Many websites/applications will perform better on a dedicated environment with guaranteed resources. AWS certainly makes scaling easier, and adds in a degree of redundancy. But when AWS goes down, it is generally a big outage. And you pay for AWS support, which is rather sluggish at best. Can your business afford to wait 24 hours per response?
