As part of a school assessment i am writing a report on the social implications of technology on young people (teens).

I am in particular focusing on the way this will shape the future, in that we may be producing a socially virginic generation.

If you are a youth, or work with youth (teacher, pediatrician, etc) i would love to hear your comments on any aspect of this.

Also if you know of any resources that are dealing with the subject i would appreciate them too.

    Quotes are also great...lol

on ZDTV's (now TechTV) Big Thinkers a couple of months ago, someone said that in the future we'll need Social Directors because so many of us will be working out of our homes, and we'll need someone to force us to get to know our co-workers in a non-online way.

I think the internet will help shy teenagers like me meet the likeminded friends who are often all too uncommon in our ******, barbaric schools.

superbird, I agree. That's one of the nice things about discussion boards. You really don't know anything about someone other than one they post. Our words reveal who we are, not a bunch of pre-conceived notions.
