Anyones' suggestions for a free email@yoururl.com provider? I'm tired of myname@theresite.thenmysite

Particularly any programs with small or *NO* ads in the email messages! (Is that realistic?)

    Thanks ahead of time!

Visit that site to look through the options you have to start your own mail service.

http://www.everyone.net perhaps? They are really good. Take a look at http://mail.tweakpro.com. You define what goes on the bottom of the messages you send.

    Hi,

I would like to back-up the http://www.everyone.net suggestion, they are the best e-mail provider I have ever seen. Another good one is http://www.bigmailbox.com

if you have a couple hundred dollars you could buy a free email service script like alias mail or @mail.

Everyone.net is better. They let you have it under your domain. Much more professional.

I have to agree that http://www.everyone.net is the best. I am using them at http://www.emailhound.com and it has been great so far! Just my 2 cents.

I'm using bigmailbox.com and find the service to be excellent. I originally intended to go with everyone.net, but I already had the ability to edit my own MX record of my DNS and didn't feel the need to change to a company that would allow you to use the cname funtion that is required for everyone.net.

Comparidly speaking they are pretty well one in the same however.

You do get a more branded look with everyone.net right from the beginning, however not all pages fall under this, so the end user knows its hosted by someone else. Not that they would probably care however, as everyone wants something for free anyways, so the end user won't care much afterwards. (I've had no complaints)

In oredr to give the appearane of e-mail branding with bigboxmail.com, you need to build a frame based page. This will give you an e-mail branded look that is equally a good as everyone.net, without the hassles of getting you DNS with another company. centralinfo.com seems to offer a free DNS service that will allow you to modify the the info needed for everyone.net

The other plus about everyone.net is that setup is pretty well instant, so if you modify you cname and mx records as required your site should be propogated in about 48 hours and you will be live.

Bigmailbox.com takes about a week to get back to you, hwoever it's not hard to get the MX info and have that ready already for when it transfers over, especially if it's a new domain name.

here is a site I did for myself that is on bigmailbox.com

Like I said you need to use frames if you want to have it look branded, so this site is done that way, however you can't see the frame, so it looks like a centered login page.

It's not over fancy. as it's just made to be a login page thus afr, but can modify it later on if needed. The purpose was to get it up and running.

I have other domains to keep going, so this one was set up just for the logins at this time.

Take a peak if you want. If you end up using bigmailbox.com and like the set up of my site, I have no problem with you copying the HTML and changing it to fit your needs.

The frame page is named default.html and the other is homepage.html

It's made to fit in a browser window without scrolling down to see everything on the page. The reason being is that I'm purely using this page at this time to sign up members, so I don't want them to be interested in everything else other than signing up. Later on I will make it more detailed to offer more on it, but not until I'm up around 1,000 clients.

You can visit my site at:

    Pit Bull Mail

    Hope this helps.

Sorry if I sounded long winded.

    Tim

What do you mean? The login page? If that's the case, BMB does give you the ability to have a custom login page on your site...
