I know there have been similiar topics, but I'd like to know how long it took everyone to get their sites listed on Yahoo?

You will get so many confilcting answers it may not even help you

I have read people have been listed in less than 48 hours, others have waited for months to be listed or in some cases have had troubles getting listed at all..

MY only advice is to read through their submittall guidlines and follow them as closelyt as possible....

The layout of the site is very similar to SP, I thought I got to SP PromotionBase

Anyway, this is not really true! Getting listed in the web page results are not really in Yahoo!

Yahoo! is a searchable directory, when it can't find within any category, it will fetch the result from other site (used to be Inktomi), and now is Google.

But you know for sure that you get listed when you received a confirm email

I submitted my SoulCysters.com site 4 times, and couldn't get in. I finally wrote them a polite email telling them why I thought the site should get listed, and specifically WHY it added to the directory...I was approved two days later.

(My TheWeighWeWere.com site can't get in because is it primarily links (for now). I'm working on a new version that hopefull will make it in.)

Yeah, I remembered that tip somewhere. Do you have a template for that letter

How long should we wait before sending the message?

There's a FAQ somewhere in the Submit URL section... The email addy for the "appeal" is under "What if my site isn't listed" Or something like that...

They keep it kind of hidden...

As far as how long to wait...I don't know...if you've submitted several times already over a 2 or 3 month period, go ahead and send your letter!
