I am in need of some really good critiques of my newest website http://www.bornstupid.com. The site is based on my own personal humor. So far the humor has been getting rave reviews, but the site itself has gotten absolutely no comments. I would like a little review of both. I know the humor for the most part is most opinionated than anything, but I do think there's a good market for my site, especially since I'm a columnist with postings on over 250 sites already.

Just tell me how the design looks. What kinds of things I should add, what I should change, what things I need to do... Also, don't say anything about it being on hypermart, I always put my sites on hypermart for the test period, they are very reliable, cheap, and I know the people at hypermart and like working with them. So, I already know, you will all hate the pop-ups until I pay to get rid of them. Anyway, let me know!

    Thanks so very much!

    hi

problem with the faq page showing up a lot narrower than the others.

cosmetic item (and i am the last - absolutely last - to mention cosmetics). i would find a way to move the password and user id items into the little construction on the left with the other directory items and use that extra space to the right for text. maybe move the join page into a spot with the construction.

check load speed on a 56k and the curves on a netscape.

    thanks for the nice site.

    hi

what i like about the site.

the color scheme blends for my taste.

a consistent page after page of the same look. i think this is good since the user will become familiar with the location of each of the items.

what i found troubling (sp) about the site.

lots of ads. and the pop up is a pain.

the tell a friend in the right column seems to me to be more than just a single post. rather a mail list collection.

summing up. i would not revisit because of the ads. they are just overwhelming.

have the speed checked by a 56k modem.

edshuck...if u read the first post u would see that pop ups were temp.

    the site:

neat...but i would change either the left menu colour or the main body txt the left menu could be that darker green like whats running across the top - they blend too much together at the moment....thats just me...

    regards

I like your web page overall but don't think that it flows well yet. I like the color and your humor. Would like to hear a little bit more about who you really are. Good luck. sdeaglewoman

I like the look and the colors, but I get a horizontal scrollbar with an 800x600 resolution. That's still a very common resolution and would probably keep me from returning to the site much.

I don't really enjoy the colors.
The Green, Yellow/Brown and Black, doesnt look good.
The black borders look bad, in my opinion.
Its a little bit big in 800by600 also : )
The negative of the lensflare doesnt look good eather I think, just start out with a white bg and go with the lensflar. It will look better.

I like the site, very nice color usage. I do not like all the popups though, it slows things down but besides that it is a very nice site.
