It's not freeware(although it is relatively cheap 3D app.) You can buy it from Corel.

Isin't Bryce mainly for just doing landscapes?
Garlic bread, I've tasted it, it's the future

I dunno I've seen some pretty awesome stuff done with it. Really I'm looking for a cheaper alternative to 3DS Max. Don't feel like spending a ton of money right now.

i'd recommend going for something like TrueSpace. Bryce is indeed mainly for landscapes. you can build other objects with it, but it's far from being a full-featured 3D application.

There's a program called Strata3D that comes in a free version and may be adequate for you. Their site seems to be down at the moment, but Google says they crawled on the 15th, so I assume they haven't gone out of business.

There's also Terragen for landscapes.

Do you know of another place to get the free version? I'd like to at least try it out.Originally Posted by anode

Ooops, it looks like they spun off the 3d.com domain. The real site is Strata3D.com
You can download the free version there, when and if it goes back up.
