    Talking XML Web Services with PHP NuSOAP

    Does this require a specific server or anything like that?

    Nope - all you should need to do is download NuSOAP, which is code written in PHP, and include it in your own code so you can use it ( that assumes you've got a web server able to execute PHP scripts of course )

    Apparently 0.6.3 is current - it hasn't gone officially "stable" yet. Basically it works RPC based SOAP transactions. WSDL support is more dodgy and Document type SOAP exchange may be unpredictable.

    You may be better off with PEAR::SOAP - http://pear.php.net/package-info.php?pacid=87

    I've dowloaded 0.6.1 which will do for now - I need to read up on how to use this now. Sorry about PEAR though I don't think so. LoL - I don't like it one bit.

    But that's just me I suppose ?

    As it goes, PEAR::SOAP and NuSOAP were once the same project. They're still pretty similar but I think PEAR::SOAP has progressed further.

    Couple of articles:

    http://www.devarticles.com/art/1/414 - NuSOAP
    http://www.evolt.org/article/The_PEA...tion/21/49993/ - PEAR::SOAP

    Otherwise collect the sample code from here while you can [ http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/4/29790.html ] - Chapter 5 has examples of NuSOAP and PEAR::SOAP, as well as eZ Soap
