Does anyone know of any company that lets you put a form on your site so your users can send each other SMS messages? Free would be nice but I don't mind paying as long as it isn't megabucks. I'm also interested in running an SMS news service.
SMS messaging means sending and receiving text messages through a mobile phone/cellphone. It's quite a simple system and shouldn't be confused with WAP email. http://www.dooyoo.co.uk has a thing for individuals to send messages to each other and that's the sort of thing I'm looking for.
There is a service that I've just read about where you can offer SMS via your website, but I think it only allows visitors to SMS the account holder - that is, the website person.
See if you can understand it. You have to register first and then click on Q-remote - the website's not the best laid out that I've seen.
You basically get to install a mobile phone graphic on your site (you just strick the link code in your HTML), then visitors can type a message to you, press send and it's on your mobile phone within seconds.
I've tried it on my phone and it's fast!
Whether it's what you want is another matter.
Other than this the best SMS site that I've seen is http://www.sms.de - offers most of the world, all free!
