Under the "Twitter" header is a long list of one solution for crappy social media: 3rd-party clients, which can be built to make the original service actually work for people. Like, those strange and unknown people who use... keyboards.
Recently, Twitter has announced their new API rules which would make things harder for clients like EasyChirp, especially the limited tokens part.
