I was wondering if there is anyway to protect a flash file from being "stolen" or used on another server. I will give an example. If on my site I have a flash movie that is being served from sparkgames.com/flash.swf what is to stop someone else on their own page and just doing something like this....
Hope I made this clear...
<embed src="http://sparkgames.com/flash.swf" width=550

When you publish your flash movie, select "Protect from Import".
In Flash 4;
Click File, Publish Settings.
Grey pop-up box appears.
Click the "Flash" tab at the top.
Protect from import is third from the top.
Hope this helps.
Thanks... what if someone else made the file for me... is there any way for me to protect it.
Do you have the *.fla file? If so, just re-export it.
If not, I think you might be able to import an *.swf file into a movie and re-export it with Import Protection turned on, but this is going beyond my knowledge of Flash.
Try http://www.flashzone.com, ask one of the guys in the forums there.
Thanks a lot!
