I recently started a newsletter published in an HTML format, but I keep receiving daily emails from AOL users saying that they just see the HTML code instead of the content. Does anyone know how to get AOL email readers to display HTML correctly?

Your best just not to sent it in HTML format.
AOLs email does support HTML but i'm not sure how the server reads it.

I agree, Keith. HTML isn't very good for newsletters. It doesn't work in all e-mail readers and it is slow to load when you open it.
If it worked, wouldn't SitePoint use it?
HTML is a very good thing to use on newsletters as long as it's used good. It is something for the future. Most email programs support it (I never got complaints).
HTML doesn't load slower than other docs.
Offer a text-only version as well...just stick an old HTML comment tag in there to assist those who can't read it ("<!-- If you can see this text right now then your email client does not support HTML messages, please change your subscription --!>").
