Using Smarty with Retro MVC?
I'm about to start a new project at work and want to use CoderMaya's Retro framework instead of the bloated in-house framework. A "widget" based on that framework on a different site on the same dev server started causing seg faults, and I wasted a week looking for non-existent bugs in my code as a result. To make a long story short, I don't trust the framework, and I do not have time to monkey around on this next project.
I can probably get away with using a different framework since I'm the only programmer on this project, but they will insist on my using Smarty because the designers are not PHP programmers. I would particularly like for Yam and Jake to give me some pointers on how to integrate Smarty with Retro. Of course, suggestions from anyone else familiar with Retro are also welcome.
Thanks in advance!
