Bug in Flash CS4?
I created a file in Flash CS3, saved it and later opened it in CS4. Everything worked fine. I finished the file and exported it to a swf. It worked like it should but the image quality was really poor. I therefore set the JPG-quality to 100% and exported it again. For some reason when i touch the JPG-quality setting the exported swf shows all kind of bugs. For example opacity fades don't work anymore. So instead of images fading in, they do nothing untill they appear inmidiatelly.
I tried everything, even different files, reinstalling the lot, a different computer etc. but nothing seems to help.
Since i saved the file in CS4 i can't seem to open it in CS3 anymore.
So a couple of questions:
1. Is there a way to import the file in CS3?
2. Is this a known bug and is there a solution?
I haven't heard of this bug before.
In CS4 you can "Save as" and select "Flash CS3 document", which can then be opened in CS3.
i havent heard this issue before either, strange.
I know this is an old thread, but I thought I would point out...
This IS a bug with CS4, and it is very irritating. It sometimes happens when changing the quality settings on image content inside a movieclip. After changing the quality, tweens containing the asset start acting erratically.
Open all the movieclips containing the object from the library before publishing. Nothing else has to be done, simply opening them fixes it.
Typical Flash at it's best. Wonder if they will ever fix it, probably not.
I opened my Flash index file in Flash CS4 today for the first time. It was originally saved in CS2 or 3 awhile backÖitís an old file. The image quality looks worse for some reason on the stage and at preview. I even updated it on the web and still looks bad. I spend an hour messing around with preferences and images, but how no clue why this is happening! Help please!!!
I tried opening my movie clips in the library, but that didn't help...
