I have this code im using that refreshes the page with no flickering of the images so it looks smooth, the problem in ie im having is the ticking noise everytime it refreshes, how can i stop the noise?
<meta http-equiv="Page-Enter" content="blendTrans(Duration=0.3)" />
window.location = "usersonlineframe.php?room=<?= $room ?>&type=<?= $type ?>"
<body onLoad="setTimeout('delayer()', 2000)">
I imagine the noise you hear is the browser's behavior. That is, the script is "clicking a link" to the new page. You could take care of this for your own browser easily enough, but I think you'll need to develop another technigue to do what you're doing if you want to eliminate it for others.
Maybe an AJAX call that modifies the DOM without a refresh?
there must be another way apart from ajax with the same code i want to use.
It wouldn't be as "up to the minute", but you could get the number of online users from a database so that every new page would have the same value as when it loaded.
