Hello guys, I'm trying to update my Ruby version 1.8.6 to 1.9.0 following http://hivelogic.com/articles/ruby-r...rel-mysql-osx/ as I did when I installed 1.8.6
I followed all the steps and all looked like good but, after the installation, when I checked out the installed version The result was

ruby 1.8.6 (2007-09-24 patchlevel 111) [universal-darwin9.0]
I guess I have both versions installed right now but the working one is still 1.8.6 How can I check this out and if it is true move the working version to 1.9.0 ???
Otherwise How can I uninstall 1.8.6 (and 1.9.0) ??? In this case I will reinstall 1.9.0.
Thank you and have a nice day
I appreciate your help
noboday has any idea about my issue ???
You'll need to indicate your Operating system to start with. Linux (and what flavour), Windows or Mac?
I'm sorry I haven't specified it but since the article I linked I thought it was clear my OS is MAC OS (10.5)
I wouldn't worry. 1.9.0 is a development release designed really only towards those compiling other software on top of it (like Rails or a Ruby library)- Ruby tends to make even releases for stable production environments and odd releases for developers to prepare for the next production release. In other words, there's not really a reason to move to 1.9.0 for the vast majority of developers at this point, for the most part.
Thanks, I'm gonna keep 1.8.6 (with Rails 2.0.2)
