php scripts and memory.
I can not find the answer to this in any php books, so I ask here.
Do bigger php scripts (file size) use up more memory than smaller scripts, or is the only thing that uses up memory are the variables and other data structures that the script uses ?
I assume that this would largely depend on what you are achieving in the file, and how you handle the data that is produced. for example, retrieving 30 rows from a database is probably relatively low in memory usage. Retrieving 1,000,000 rows on the other hand...
