Hi, could someone help me finding the right IRC Chat program for my site, I have enough bandwidth/space, so running it is not a problem, the problem however, is finding a decent FREEWARE, or near enough one. I have seen one which I like http://www.chat.spin.de however, your having to fork out roughly £500 and more for it...and i'm sure there are much better offers/FREE (FREE being the keyword) Chat programs to get, it can be an applet, php, anything, just something which is IRC style.

I don't know if it's free, but I use mIRC (http://www.MIRC.com) - works just fine, although a little complicated at first, since I'm not familiar with IRC.

Have you seen the one that SitePoint use for their chatroom? I believe it is called QuickChat. You can see it in action at www.sitepoint.com/forums/chat.php3.
