OK, I am meeting a prospective client for web design on Thursday.
I know a lot of you have experience with this sort of thing, I am looking for advice, since this will be my first meeting with a client. Techniques for persuasion, general advice.
It is for a hip-hop labels website. I have 2 advantages at the moment :
I run a UK hip-hop website (so I know what I'm talking about and the type of style when it comes to the record labels website)
I don't think I have any viable competition.
So, please advise...
Here's a list:

Be kind and friendly

Don't be nervous

Make them feel like they are getting a good deal

Let them know that you have the advantage over others

Watch your language. Don't use words like "yeah" "like" "basically" etc

Don't leave them in the dust.
Thats all I can think off the top of my head. Good luck!

Stress your lower fee advantage over the competition, dress semi-nice/casually...and I'd go with Aidan with the slang...use common, correct words, don't try to sound like a techno-expert, and speak with clarity... http://www.SitePoint.com/forums/smile.gif
