Many times I will put a URL in like this Check out this link and that it's nothing but links.
No doubt this type of website has a name and a business principle. How does the owner of a website make money off of these links? Can anyone educate me on the business model behind these websites with nothing but links on them?

Owner is not making any money, but godaddy does.
The business model is to take a domain receiving traffic (type-ins, previous owner, used to be an active site with inbound links, etc) and point it to a page like this which contains pay-per-click search engine results for a similar topic. There are people with tens of thousands of domains making millions of dollars on the clicks; a few on each site adds up to a lot in total.
Yes, that's a really good business.
