I'm just finishing builidng www.alainntours.com and viewing it on a PC using IE & Netscape the toolbar at the bottom looks grand. However viewing it on a Mac using latest edition of IE, the text on the toolbars don't appear aligned - some are aligned to the top, some to the middle etc.
Is there anything I can do to prevent this?
You need to do a couple of things.
The latest version of IE for the Mac is fairly compliant with standards so it would be best if you enclose your attributes on every tag within single or double quotes.
Second you need to find a standard Macintosh font and specify it in your font tags so that it doesn't use the default font which is probably what is screwing up the alignment. Macintoshes don't come with Arial as it is a Microsoft font. I think the MS webfonts like Verdana, Tahoma and Comic Sans MS are distributed with the Macintosh version of IE but am not sure.

I have a mac g3 and it will be able to read arial. I have seen other macs that don't have arial on the system, but the system seems to convert it to heleticava(wrong spelling.)
