I'm looking for help here. I am using layers with Dreamweaver 2 and need to know how to keep a layer centred regardless of resolution.
I have posted this on different NG's and have yet to get an answer.
By the way, I need to have my layer overlapping, so convert layers to table is not an option.
"Help to get me out of the frame"
I suggest you look for a dreamweaver help forum, or something like it. I don't use dreamweaver, so I have no idea where to look. I guess you could start at http://www.macromedia.com, and if worse comes to worsse, go to their FAQ section for dreamweaver.
Even though this is not a dreamweaver forum, I'll post a reply. http://www.webmaster-resources.com/forums/smile.gif (BTW, its not about DW, its about positioning with CSS)
The value of CSS properties 'left' and 'top' can be specified in percentages as well as pixels. When you specify a value, you refer to the position of the top left corner of your layer. The 'width' attribute can also be set to use % instead of pixel. Play with those and see if it works. It should work with both browsers, go to
for more info.
They have a very good tutorial on positioning with CSS.
oops, didnt mean to post twice
