CSS2 + js
the other day i came acroos this excelent article on filtering images with css2 webmonkey css filtering and i've been playing around with it...
but then i thought, surely there must be a way to create effects through js for rollovers (am i right?) is this possible? if so how?
this would be just so cool, rollovers, animations, everything...
any feedback would be cool.
remember though that it only works in IE for now.
yeah i know... still want to play around with it though :D
http://www.dynzone.com/ has an implementation of filtering that is really nice. The site may actually have some more info on it. I haven't looked through it enough.
I think you could do what you were talking about by changing an HTML element's (a div or image for example) style attribute (namely the filter) to whatever you wanted when a particular event occurs. You'll also want to investigate clipping to get more effects.
thanx a lot mr_than, brilliant example... now i need to play around with it :o
