Is /etc/my.cnf being parsed?
I have a MySQL server that doesn't appear to be making the most of all the resources available to it. It's reasonably hefty machine with 4GB of RAM so I copied my-huge.cnf to /etc/my.cnf Still some queries are taking of forever.
I tried to see that the server was started against the correct init files by running
There's no mention of /etc/my.cnf in the result of that query, is this normal?
$ps ax | grep mysql
Doesn't give me any clues either
