I'm working on a site... http://www.neopages.com/ (launch the pop-up window).
Now, in IE it comes out perfect. In NS 4.x, the left area somehow shifts up and left so the lines don't work right... load both versions and you'll see what I mean.
I know that bgproperties="fixed" isn't supported in NS 4.x, and i've accepted that. However, why does NS mess up the frames?!
Can someone help me fix this for NS 4.x? Thanks.
Hmm..maybe it has to do with the sizes..
See..you are using style sheets..
and its well known that IE's and NS's font sizes for css are different.
Maybe you could specify separate style sheets, then set a larger font for netscape.
but i advise that you try increasing thefont size before applying the code to set the differnet style sheet ( coz it might not work! )
Thats the most logical answer I could come up..
Now on your desing..well ..i love it.its nice..yup..but if yo tried viewing in netscpae..somehow, the color bakcground doesn't appear to be in the same tone as that of the image..
try loading your netscpae browser and see.
BTW..I'm in 32 bit color mode.
I haven't looked at it, but do you have your margins set to "0"..if that's the case Netscape usually doesn't recognize the margins code
honging...i don't know if you have already made changes. One thing I have found with Netscape is that it does not like mixing percentage-based and fixed-width based frames. Netscape will take the fixed width frame and first covnert it to a percentage, then display the frameset based on the new calcualtions.
Basically Netscape sucks.
BTW, I see nothing wrong with the site in either IE 5.5 or NS 4.7. It looks really nice too.
Yeah..Netscpae gives alot of problem..and as it goes..
your problem is minor..and consider the fatc that you got this far, its excellent now.
i had to look carefully to pinpoint the location of the problem...so...a normal user wouldn't notice..
Mozilla and IE rules
Yeah, thanks for the help everybody. I just went the easy route and got rid of the BG :)
