Why does IE add this gap?

Fine in Dreamweaver MX2004, Firebird, Opera 7.2. Then I tested it in IE and boom, some weird gap appeared. Any ideas?

Edit: No matter, replaced as an image and its fine :)

Compress your HTML code. IE often displays line breaks as spaces.
