i was thinking of enabling my site for wap in the future. and i was wondering what exaclty it looks like. i don't have a wap phone, is it possible that there is "your webpage looks like this on a wap phone." just like the ones that show how your page looks like on netscape and internet explorer. thanks...

UKDirectory have a WAP site building facility, you have to be in their directory though which charges £3 per month. http://wap.ukdirectory.com

~poil11~ There are many WAP/WML resource sites that have up-to-date information about the mobile internet -- here are just a few that are very informative...even a WAP Editor to try out.
"WAPDrive - WAP news, WML tutorial"
"WAP.com" ~ Making existing web content available to the mobile Internet
"Wireless FAQs"
"WAP Editor Download - PC Plus Magazine"

WAP actually looks like nothing since it is Protocol much like HTTP or even FM Radio...
HDML/WML looks like HTML 2.0 and is what you use to build your WAP enabled pages with.

ya, but netscape can't view wap enabled pages. i know it is just green and black, but is there a shareware program out there? or wap enabled browers out there that can view it? i know it is just text, i am gonna go buy a phone soon anyways. so i willk now first hand.

I'm using the web on my phone all the time!
All you have is a list of text link options, no graphical abilities whatsoever.
The selection tools are quite limited on a phone so it would kinda be hard to navigate any other way than just text links. Scroll up/scroll down push "ok" button to read the article or whatever.
I sell these phones for Sprint 8 hours a day and have had the pleasure to use most every kind made by every company! It's all the same. It should be quite easy to make a page for one.
