LCD Display or CRT???
For all you graphic designers and/or video production individuals, do you use LCD displays or the bigger thicker monitors? I was browsing gateway, and I was surprised that they were saying LCD is better regarding graphics and even multimedia. Whenever I have seen a LCD display, I almost barf at the clarity, because I feel they lack clarity, especially if you change resolutions. Please give me your feedback, because I am custom building a system and I am on the monitor selection.
Since most LCD monitors don't support over 1024x768 ( I use 1280x1024 ) I don't bother shelling out the extra money.
I have a 19" flat panel ( screen is flat and not bulbous ) .22 dpi, low/no glare. I love it. CRT has more vibrant color, but I use color correction software to calibrate my monitor before I do any work on colors.
I have been using a 24" compaq P1610 for the last couple of years running at 1920X1200 and I don't think I could go back to anything else.
The only way I would run an LCD monitor is if I didn't have room, but of course I would just make room. :)
