Have you ever wondered what FFA pages were like before the Internet Explosion? If you post now, you get lost in a sea of links posted by automatic submit programs and get back a literal flood of emails promoting their own pet scam. I am trying an experiment by putting up an FFA page without submitting it to any directories or auto submit engines. Just quietly telling a few friends about it and see what happens. You can help by posting your website free, and together let's see if we can start a campaign to clean up some of the clutter along the Internet Super Highway. Who can tell, someone might actually SEE your posting.
If you only tell your friends about the page, the people on the page don't get much traffic. If you post a discrete link on your site it's eventually gonna get added to an FFA autosubmitter whether you like it or not.. eventually.
That's exactly why there is no link on any page. It is only promoted through email and forums. No, I won't get massive traffic, but at least it should move slow enough that a few interested posters will get someone to actually look at the listings. FFA used to be a very good promotion technique, but the auto submit and directories have killed that. I am just trying to start a method of avoiding them, and go back to the time when it worked.I think it's worth the space to give it a try anyway.
