There is also another simple way to identify Fonts already installed on your Computer: Screen OCR 6.5 (from screenocr.com) I bought it because of the “money back guarantie” … but never got my money back :slight_smile: … and now I’m enjoying the software even it has some minor bugs.

When we select a text to change the font and go to format the text then automatically a sample of each font style appears isn’t it?Thanks for the tips anyway…

Great guide. I have tried it but I can’t really know how. Maybe I will experiment a little.
It is kinda hard to recognize a font when it is from a subtitle of a foreign language show. Maybe I will just ask for the help of Sitepointers :slight_smile:

Very, very useful thread. Having worked reproducing logo’s on to promotional products I came across this issue a lot. I often found that it was the descender, ascender or curvature that gave it away.

I use WhatTheFont and it’s been useful so far. Sometimes it doesn’t pick up and that’s when I got to search for fonts manually.

Where i can find good fonts, i used Dafonts, is it the biggest site for fonts?
