It is dependent upon a number of things, which include: 1. Type of Product or service you are trying to promote. 2. What are you offering to your customers 3. How effective your PR is in the market. The success of your facebook page is entirely dependent upon all such things, therefore you need to work on your page accordingly. If your product is limited to a specific market than you might not be able to become that bigger success.
One of the best ways to have a good start on facebook page is creating a page with loads of attractive images. Keep the posts clean and avoid putting unwanted content which people may get bored of. Its always best to combine an image with little text to get a brief idea about the topic and add a line or two asking the visitor’s opinions. Share your pages with as many people/friends as possible.

It is easy, Make a viral content, advertise on Fb, look out for traffic from countries which are cheap. Bid the lowest, Get fans and then try to promote the same ad in your region.
My page is for UK only.
PPC cost on average £0.35 per like, compared to email marketing at £0.20
The problem being that the email guys would sign up to my proposition, but then wouldn’t follow on facebook.
