"Very useful book!
Writing is concise and clear, and the example are self-explanatory."

R.C.J. van der Steenhoven 4 stars, 1 Jul 2008

"This is just what I was looking for. I have been programming in several languages for 20 years so I don't need programming 101 that comes with so many introductory books.

"The information about what makes Javascript unique, how it interacts with the DOM and the differences in how the various browsers support the various features is exactly the information I needed."

Pamela Thalacker 5 stars, 30 May 2008

"As a freelance web designer / developper I am always in need to further improve my knowledge in programming and its not always easy to find good books or good online information. I discovered SitePoint, of which I have read many articles and decided to check out their books.

"Having bought some, I am not disappointed. The books are well organised, detailed with great examples and many usefull ressources for extra information ! Furthermore, they are written in a way that anyone can benefit from them, whether they are beginners or experts."

Benoit Schumacher (www.benshu.ch) 4 stars, 7 May 2008

"The Javascript Anthology has become my primary reference for any JS I need to do. I program mainly in PHP so for anything javascript I need a book that is well indexed, well laid out and easy to follow. JS Anthology fits the bill perfectly."

Gary Smith 5 stars, 3 Mar 2008

"This is one of the best JavaScript books I've read. The code examples are clearly and completly explained, which allowed me to quickly adapt and customize the code solutions in my own work. The chapter on the DHTML menu alone was worth the cost of the book!"

Mark Luker 5 stars, 29 Jan 2008

"Books are great, the only thing is that they arrived only like two weeks ago and they were all damaged.

"Good thing is: I complained and as far as I know I'll be receiving new undamaged books pretty soon. That's just great."

Guus Schiefelbusch 5 stars, 28 Jan 2008

"Fantastic books, presented in the best style for developers!"

Andrew Ingram 5 stars, 12 Jan 2008

"Great book. I attend DeVry University as a Web Development major and all my peers were jealous that I had the book."

Jeff Barentine 5 stars, 27 Dec 2007

"it has some useful information for a current project. i am not disappointed in the purchase."

donald f caldwell 5 stars, 12 Oct 2007

"First, I would like to congratulate you one the quality of books that you produce. I have been very impressed with the coverage in each and every SitePoint book that I have purchase.

" Unfortunately, I have not yet finished the book, I keep getting pulled away to other things... (sigh), I bet you can understand that.

" However, the stuff that I have read keeps this book on the top of my "must finish" list.

"Thanks!"

Bob Gibson 5 stars, 18 Sep 2007

"I was very much looking forward to the section on navigation. I have built a nice model but used display:none; to not show the drop downs and fly outs. Wanting to move forward and create a more search engine friendly nav I purchased your book. I was very disapointed when your code doesn't work very well at all in the latest browsers. The navigation was clunky to say the least. I certainly would not use it as a base to learn from.

"Maybe you should inform purchasers which browsers the code works for. I appreciate everything evolves, but I must be confident I'm up to date when I'm learning"

Mark Arnold 1 stars, 31 Aug 2007

"The book is very good, it gives you a lot of examples and is really easy to follow. Only one thing I think is measing in this book or maybe in others of Sitepoint and is the manage of tables, fixed headers, footers and columns to be more specific"

Carlos Lopez 4.5 stars, 3 Aug 2007

"Definitely not a book for experienced JavaScript programmers. I burned through it in about a week and didn't really walk away with much, but that's probably just me. I don't necessarily agree with the authors' standpoints on certain issues, but they offer valid points and good working examples, nonetheless.

"This is a book I'd recommend to JavaScript/Web developing novices to ease into the pain that is cross-browser compliant scripting."

André Dion 2.5 stars, 16 Jul 2007

"A great resource, I have only scratched the surface and it has already helped me create some great solutions for my project."

Daniel Vice 4.5 stars, 11 Jul 2007

"Probably the best technical/how-to book I have ever read. Its examples are clear, concise, and (most important) useful."
