"Lots of info, but don't expect it to get you up and running with Vista or you'll just have a $45 paper-weight."
, 1 May 2009 "I am a student at DeVry University; Computer Information Systems/Web Development. I contacted Cristian Darie regarding this book before I purchased. His quick and insightful response gave me great confidence in purchasing this product. I bought the book to get a jump start before my ASP.NET course. This book, I feel, should be the textbook for any college or university teaching ASP.NET. This is the 8th book I have purchased from Sitepoint and I am still very much impressed. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is somewhat familiar with C#, VB, and web design and wants to take it to the next level. This is the perfect supplement to any education and much more rewarding."
, 27 Apr 2009 "Excellent and very well understanding book as a tutorial for both beginners and intermediate level. I enjoy it to read, learn and experience the ASP.NET issues that are taken in this book. I recommended this book for those who want to go an easy way toward ASP.NET learning and development. After this book ASP.NET is a piece of cake!"

For a beginner like me, this book is a great tool to understand the concepts and how to evolve in the .net meanderings."
, 8 Jan 2007 [Review written for previous edition of this title.]"Actually I was looking for an electronic version of this book, which was not available, so I decided to purchase the hard copy at discounted price. Still going through the book and find it very good.
Just the right book for a beginner like me. What is good about the book that it systematically explains all the concepts that need to be known.
Great book from Sitepoint."
, 5 Jan 2007 [Review written for previous edition of this title.]"I am only up to Chapter 6. So far it has been reasonably clear to follow, but I am looking forward to working on the project. I hope it will show me how to set up an online application that will enable people to submit bird observation data.
"So I can't yet give a final review. So far so good."
, 3 Jan 2007 [Review written for previous edition of this title.]"A well written and complete guide to ASP.Net"
, 3 Jan 2007 [Review written for previous edition of this title.]"Excellent book. Very clear what the author is trying to get over to you. Would suggest that anyone buying this has some grounding in C#, VB.Net, VB6 or ASP (ASP.NET not necessary) before reading the book. Highly recommended."

, 1 Dec 2006 [Review written for previous edition of this title.]"This is a great book! It got me up and running quickly for a commercial programming project I needed to complete. I'm looking forward to picking up the updated version for ASP 2.0. Thanks for a great book Zak!"
, 1 Dec 2006 [Review written for previous edition of this title.]"The ASP.NET book is Great! I really like it as the book covered fairly quite a number of Topics. The only problem i experience was the delivery mode as there was no tracking for overseas shipments and Sitepoint has to re-ship my book 2nd time as i did not receive when they delivered initially."
, 30 Nov 2006 [Review written for previous edition of this title.]"I found the style and approach of the book very user friendly. It was well laid out and easy to follow. I keep it by my computer as a ready reference.
"Having tried two or three other books before this one - this was a joy to use. Other books I have bought on ASP.NET1.1 were difficult to read, badly laid out and had exercises or samples that were either trivial or did not work at one extreme or highly complex and difficult to understand at the other.
"I would definitely recommend this book to others who are getting to grips with developing web sites using ASP.NET1.1 or ASP.NET2.0"
