Here is what our customers are saying about our products.
"I was rather annoyed to find out once I downloaded my PDF version to see that it is a renamed version of the book I already own, which at no point in the website does it mention this.
Granted this is a new edition, but it would have been more honest and upfront to state the renaming of "BUILD YOUR OWN DATABASE DRIVEN WEB SITE USING PHP & MYSQL" to this titled edition.
I also am confused by the pricing. I was sent an email offering it at a special price a couple of weeks ago, which I preordered at, and now it is still being sold at the discount price, not really good selling technique, it might get you more sales, but not repeat buyers."

, 26 Mar 2012 "Great book! Helped me get the basics of jQuery down so I could move on to more complex stuff"
, 17 May 2012 "I already read Sexy Web Design, and Build Your Own Website the Right Way and now I am reading Jquery Novice to Ninja to learn about how to use JQuery right. Love all three of these books. They are great if you are new to Web Design/Development."
, 6 Apr 2012 "I'm only three chapters in so far, but I've found the book to clearly written and easy to follow.
"I have noticed quite a few typos though... a little more thorough editing would be nice."
, 1 Apr 2012 "Hi,
"I've read the first few chapters and I like it. The 'story' works well, without reading to much that doesn't concern jQuery.
The examples are good.
"I don't realy like the look of the book. The print version is in horrible greyscale, it makes it look cheap. You should design a proper black/white scheme or just print it with one or two extra colors."
, 29 Mar 2012 "Very good book. Lots of new things comparing with 1st edition."
, 28 Mar 2012 "I enjoy the affordable offerings of Sitepoint Books. Having the book in different format allows me to study the books on different media. I wish I had an ebook reader. I only have my Android HTC phone and my computer. jQuery is well written and the source download allows me to see real time the actions described in the book. Thank you."
, 28 Mar 2012 "Too much fluff... book could be a lot shorter, tighter, and would then perhaps be a handy reference."
, 28 Mar 2012 "jQuery is a difficult technology for a book - authors have to choose how much underlying programming they introduce with the technology. I think this book gets it right, but might not be for newcomers. Great to have code examples on sitepoint.com too."
, 26 Mar 2012 "I bought the first edition, it was a nice read. The second followed where the first ended. Great way to get a grasp on the technology. I would have like more info on JSON and JSONP."
, 24 Mar 2012 "I realized that I didn't understand the word "novice" before picking up this book. I always thought that meant you had SOME exposure but were still wet behind the ears, so to speak. This book is definitely for the uninitiated in jQuery! However, going through the book from beginning to end I realize now that I missed some very cool fundamentals and concepts when I was picking up this framework on my own. I highly recommend this book to anyone attempting to learn jQuery!"
, 21 Mar 2012 "Quite handy to have on the shelve above my desk. eBooks are great, but there is nothing like a printed copy to flip through!"
, 21 Mar 2012 "I purchased this book because it says it now includes jQuery Mobile and talks about Apps, I already have 1st Edition, but as far as I can see the only difference from first edition is that they added jquery mobile to the back cover. Not even a mention in the content pages about jQuery Mobile, I was expecting a whole chapter not a logo on the back cover.
"Very disappointed indeed, I fear Sitepoint seems to have become more about marketing than content, very much enjoyed the books I have purchased from Sitepoint in the past, now it feels like they have done a good marketing job on me by simply changing the cover and dropping in a few buzz words to churn existing customer with old content.
"Took a long time to turn up, want not worth the wait.
very sad."
, 21 Mar 2012 "I have to tell you - I did order and paid for it BUT I haven't received it YET.
"So please, make sure I get a copy before sending me a link for a review - that would be much appreciated.
"Best regards
