Rackspace Ups the Ante in Assault on Amazon
Web hosting provider Rackspace announced today that it has acquired two startups in a move to bolster its cloud hosting service in a bid to take on Amazon’s Web Services stack: Slicehost and Jungle Disk. The deals cost $11.5 million in cash and stock.
