Full Code Press: Watch the sites evolve live!

The Full Code Press site-in-a-day web olympics is on this weekend in Sydney — but you can stay up to date as the competition progresses no matter where you are in the world.

The two teams (Australia and New Zealand) will be building their web sites online, and you can watch the progress of their respective sites in real time. The web addresses of the non-profit organisations that will each be receiving a site at the end of the 24 hours will be announced at 9.30am on Saturday (Australian EST).

There’s also going to be plenty of photo coverage, video action and live blogging from both sides.

The trash talk is getting heated between the two teams, so I imagine that, despite the philanthropic nature of the event, it will be seriously competitive.

Should be fun to watch!

    Why can I see some sort of Iron Chef style narration:

    Announcer 1: What is that the aussie team is doing? Is that a custom Python framework brewing on the developer’s machine?
    Announcer 2: Yes, dear god, it is! I wonder how that will figure into the finished application?
    Announcer 1: I am not sure, it seems very creative to me. I can’t wait to see how it comes out! It will be soo sweet.
    Announcer 1: Wait! We have something coming in from the kiwi team! It appears a fist fight has broken out over which Javascript framework to use.
    Announcer 2: Dear god. Is that man getting his head smashed in for JQuery?
    Announcer 1: Yes, it appears he is. I guess prototype wins.

    Ha ha! I’m flying up to Sydney on Sunday morning to judge the results, so I’ll make sure that I ham it up in front of the video camera with some of that commentary just for you, Wyatt. I’m sure the teams will appreciate it. Especially in the dying minutes, it wouldn’t be distracting, at all…

    @Wolf_22 It’s not just an Aussie thing - the next Full Code Press will be in NZ and is looking like there will be over 20 countries participating. You should sign up if you are interested in representing your country!
