This is the first post to the Ruby on Rails weblog here on SitePoint, so I thought I’d take the time to introduce myself.
I’m Daniel, aka ‘waferbaby’, author of the recent Getting On Track with Ruby on Rails article. I’ve been in this web gig for over a decade now, and it still manages to surprise and delight. Sometimes.
And that’s about it! I’ll be covering new and interesting development in the RoR world. Feel free to say hello!
If you liked this blog, share the love:

Hello, Daniel!
I’m looking forward to more Ruby on Rails articles from you. I haven’t tried it out for myself yet, but I plan to do so as soon as I can.

I’ve been hacking away at RoR since it was still somewhere in the 0.8 range. I’m excited to hear your commentary on it from the POV that sitepoint provides!

Awesome, It’s about time! It seems like Ruby and Rails hasn’t gotten that much press here at SP. I’m glad that’s changing… I look foward to reading your posts.

I haven’t tried anything with RoR, but I’m very anxious to learn about it. And hopefully write a first app on it.
Looking forward to read you blogs, Daniel.

Hello. Finally a RoR blog on SP!
Only recently have I started messing about with RoR but already ran into a few hiccups with deploying to a web server, perhaps that is something you can cover in a future article or blog entry?
Looking forward to reading your posts

Hello,
I’m a ROR skeptic …
Hoping that I’ll be convinced I’m wrong about it.

Please, please, please more advanced articles/tutorials. All the ones I’ve seen so far are really basic and introductory.
Looking forward to it. :)

YAY welcome :)
Perhaps you could put up a tutorial on installing lighttpd through cygwin. (yes, there is a windows install somewhere version but its lagging a version or 2)

With Ruby on Rails being only one part of the larger Ruby, why the focus on just Ruby on Rails? Why not Ruby in general? Surely there is not that much to talk about in the scope of Rails.
