The first of my articles has been published over the weekend here at Sitepoint and is based around the often misunderstood integration of Flash and Director. Whilst the subject is not overtly complex, there are several factors which need to be taken into account when creating such a project that integrates different technologies.
The article is not a be all and end all of Flash and Director integration, but it does set the groundwork and show the techniques for creating applications that use a mixture of different technologies to achieve effects that the technologies separately would take much longer to accomplish.
I hope that you’ll take the time to read the article and gleem some new techniques from the content; and of course as ususal, comments and author feedback is always welcome!

Thank you so much for this article. I’m the only one programming for Flash/Director at my job and Lingo is not really something I’m an expert at. This article really saved me, and so did your fast reply to my further questions. I appreciate it!
